About Me
Hi, My name is Sara Hnylycia and I’m an equine fine art and lifestyle photographer based in the gorgeous foothills of southern Alberta. I specialize in breath taking equine black backgrounds and equine events. I also love expanding my artistic mind and include automotive, landscape and lifestyle photography. If I have a vision I will do whatever it takes to make it a reality, and will never compromise the little important details to what makes your art wall worthy!
I’ve always been a horse crazy kid begging my parents to let me take riding lessons. Fast forward 10 years I have a horse of my own and fully immersed into the horse/western lifestyle. Horses and photography just naturally fit into my life and now I don’t know how I’d live without it. Forever upgrading storage and buying external hard drives for all the memories I turn into pretty pictures.
On my rare downtime you can find me either hiking with my adorable husky/golden Ember, working with leather or crocheting!
It all began with my dads Nikon…
I’ve always had a passion for photography since I was little and would always steal my dad's big camera, then a few years ago I took that camera for good (with his permission of course) and never looked back. When I bought my first pony Kinder, that’s when my passion for photography exploded as I now had a guinea pig for all my ideas!
Kinder was my first real project pony turning her into my little dressage horse then western trail pony as she entered retirement. She and all the horses before her boosted me to start riding/training green horses, which is what you’ll find me doing if I’m not photographing or editing photos.
